Searching the ConfigTool
From the Main Menu of the ConfigTool there is an option to search for parts and pieces that reside in the ConfigTool database. This can be a helpful option when you are just looking for the one-offs or need to find NPL or dealer price for an item.
Go to File then Search DBto access the search function of the ConfigTool.
To search either use the Manufacturer filter list, the Manufacturer filter list and the Sub filter list and/or Keywords.
The Keyword option utilizes the AND/OR operators, the default is OR. If the ORoperator is used then if searching and there is a keyword/phrase/part number specified in the first box and the second box it will return any entry with either item specified. If the AND operator is used then the entry has to have both specified keyword before it is returned. To open the Keyword option select the Enter Search Terms label.
The above keyword search will return the below results.
To have the part number outputted to the One-Off Listselect the check box beside the Part Number and then select the Save Changes button. This will add the part number to a list that will show up on the Misc tab of the output.
